Alicia Fleischut, MA, LPC, CAADC, MAC, NCC - Executive Director
A graduate of Penn State University, Alicia obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She went on to complete her graduate work at Kutztown, obtaining her Master Degree in Counseling Psychology. Alicia joined the COGI team in 2010 as the Clinical Supervisor for their Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program. In 2014, she became the Executive Director of the agency. As part of her responsibilities she must oversee all programs, budgets and personnel. She is responsible for program development, working with grant writers, community stakeholders and outside agencies. Alicia is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and she is certified as an addictions counselor.
Kelly A. Examitas, B.S. – Director of Financial Operations - Director of Financial Operations
A graduate of Millersville University, Kelly obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. Kelly joined COGI in 2005 and has managed the financial side of COGI through the present. Part of her role is to handle all aspects of the agency budget as well as individual grant and project budgets, process payroll, manages accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting to all funders. Presently, Kelly is the contact for the Naloxone Program for Emergency Responders in all of Schuylkill County where COGI has been designated as the Centralized Coordinating Entity. Kelly manages the agency website and the COGI Facebook page. Kelly is certified as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and serves on the Board of Directors for the Shenandoah Community Ambulance Association, where she serves as Treasurer.
Karen McCloskey, B.S. - Medication Assisted Therapy Supervisor
Karen obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Penn State University. Currently she is the MAT Supervisor at Clinical Outcomes Group. She has been with COGI since 2003 starting out in Tobacco Cessation. In 2012, she started in the Medication Assisted Therapy program and was made the MAT Supervisor thereafter. Previous to COGI, Karen worked for Avenues in Pottsville as a Vocational Evaluator and Penn Foundation in Sellersville as an MH Case Manager.

Billie Jo Bender, AS - Substance Abuse Counselor
Billie Jo has an Associate's degree in Specialized Business, Criminal Justice from McCann School of Business. She is enrolled at Alvernia University, obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Addiction and Mental Health. Billie Jo has eight years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and in various substance abuse treatment environments, such as correctional facilities, Family Court Systems, Children and Youth, and Family Services. Billie Jo became a counselor assistant in March 2023 and was promoted to a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in August 2023. Billie Jo is passionate, kind, and an attentive listener. Expanding her knowledge to serve her clients skillfully is her top priority. In addition to her devotion to helping others, Billie Jo enjoys spending quality time with her family, admiring nature at their cabin, and appreciating music.
Jennifer Brant, M.S., CAADC - Drug and Alcohol Counselor
An undergraduate of Pennsylvania State University, Jennifer studied Psychology and Criminal Justice and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Degree prior to attending Capella University where she obtained a Master’s of Science in Psychology Degree. Jennifer joined the COGI family December 1, 2010 as their first full-time drug and alcohol counselor. Since her start at COGI she has facilitated the Intensive Outpatient Program and has also worked with individuals stepping down to the Outpatient level. She had the opportunity to take part in treatment aspects of the Suboxone program and the Drug Court program. Over the years, she has embraced training in trauma-informed therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She continues to work with both the intensive outpatient and outpatient populations with traditional substance use therapies as well as Seeking Safety and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Jennifer has earned her certification as a Certified Advanced Addiction & Drug Counselor and continues to pursue education and training in the psychology and addictions field. As of the Fall of 2021, Jennifer has reduced her hours and is now per-diem with COGI.
Tanya Cartwright, BA - Counselor Assistant
Tanya is a 2023 graduate of Alvernia University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Addiction and Mental Health Treatment. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society. She started out at COGI in 2023 where she completed an internship. She then was hired in January of 2024 as a counseling assistant. Tanya is empathetic, positive, and caring. She will always have a snack for you if you are hungry. In addition to her dedication to helping others , Tanya loves spending time with her family, being outside in nature, going to sporting events and concerts.
Christopher Cooper, MA, LPC, NCC, CTP - Drug & Alcohol Counselor, Center of Excellence, VALOR Coordinator
A graduate of Kutztown University, Chris received his Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family counseling. Chris joined COGI in the summer of 2018 and has transitioned through multiple departments. Chris has operated in a series of rolls as he has worked at the agency, starting as a prevention educator, to COE case manager, VALOR coordinator, and now spends a majority of his time as a Substance Abuse Counselor. Chris has a focus on systems theory, solution focused theory, and behavioral based counseling. In addition to this, he is also a certified trauma professional. Outside of COGI Chris has been a member of the PA Army National Guard for 9 years now, and continues to serve PA at home and abroad. Chris is continuing to pursue his education at Shippensburg University for a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Angelica Harkins, A.B.A - Billing & Claims Specialist
Angelica obtained her Associate of Business Administration from McCann School of Business & Technology. Prior to joining COGI, Angelica gained six years of experience in billing administration with a non-profit organization. Joining COGI, as an Administrative Assistant in November 2019, Angelica was introduced to the organization’s mission upholding the daily operation. In the Spring of 2020, Angelica was presented with the opportunity to advance established skills as she accepted the position of Billing & Claim Specialist. A year into her career with COGI, she is accountable for insurance claim preparation and filing, payment and claim denial follow-up, posting insurance reimbursements, collections on past due accounts, and monitoring insurance activity. Ensuring her responsibilities are executed, she portrays communication skills, knowledge in insurance, and multi-tasking between projects.
Annette Fleming - Drug & Alcohol Counselor
Annette is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology. She began her career as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in 1995. Annette has experience in working with both inpatient and outpatient facilities and she has counseled both adults and adolescents. Annette joined Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc. 2016. In November 2020, she accepted the role of Lead Counselor.
Benjamin Fleagle - Administrative Assistant
Ben is a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. Upon high school graduation, Ben attended two years of courses at Penn State University Schuylkill Campus. Ben joined COGI in March of 2014 as a full-time Office Assistant. In this role, Ben met all clients and visitors entering the office and was the voice you hear when calling our office. Ben assists clients and staff with scheduling appointments, updating demographic information, taking payments, and rescheduling appointments as needed. In the Fall of 2021, Ben was promoted from Office Assistant to Administrative Assistant. In his new role, Ben has taken over tasks to assist our management team. He reviews and updates reports and assists with payroll and fiscal functions.
Kaitlyn Herndon, B.S. - Prevention Specialist
A 2015 graduate of Kutztown University, Kaitlyn obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Kaitlyn joined COGI in 2015, doing administrative work (scanning, filing, etc) during evening hours. In 2017, Kaitlyn had moved into the Prevention Specialist position at COGI. Kaitlyn is responsible for implementing the Too Good For Drugs program and the Wanna Bet program throughout the school districts in Schuylkill County. Kaitlyn also helps manage the Schuylkill Prevention and COGI Prevention Facebook pages. When not in school, Kaitlyn helps with front desk and MAT coverage, as well as pre-screenings for clients conducted when scheduling assessments. Kaitlyn also has taken the lead in our Strengthening Schuylkill County Communities (S2C2) project in which COGI implements the Strengthening Families Program for Parents and Youth 10-14 for families residing in the Pottsville, Minersville, Schuylkill Haven, and St. Clair School Districts.
Sarah Mohl, BA - Certified Recovery Specialist
Sarah has a Bachelor’s in English Professional Writing from Kutztown University and is a Certified Recovery Specialist. She is currently enrolled at Walden University to obtain her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a dual-concentration in addictions and couples, marriage and family counseling. With over two years of experience, Sarah works with individuals who have substance use disorders in various substance abuse treatment environments, such as inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers. Outside of the work force, she attends 12 Step Program meetings and puts daily effort into maintaining her own life within recovery so that she can continue to help others do the same. Sarah dedicates herself to sharing her recovery experience to help create a community that supports recovery and a sober lifestyle. She teaches, models behaviors, and supports skills necessary for individual recovery and self-efficacy. She helps clients by supporting and encouraging client-centered, recovery-oriented, and strengths-based interventions. Sarah perseveres to address barriers, develop wellness plans, and link her clients to local resources and supports as well as sobriety-based activities to help the achievement of recovery goals.
Helen M. Rebuck, B.A., CADC, CLL - Drug & Alcohol Counselor
Helen is a graduate of Alvernia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Health Studies with an emphasis on Addiction. Helen is an International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor by the Pennsylvania Certification Board, Certified Laughter Leader by the World Laughter Tour, Certified in Phycological First Aid, trained in trauma informed counseling, first aid and CPR. Helen Joined Clinical Outcomes Group in 2013. Helen’s role is to provide both individual and group counseling to those effected by drug and alcohol addiction, as well as their families. She uses a number of techniques such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and The Matrix Model of treatment to name few. Although Helen’s main focus at COGI is counseling, she is also involved in community outreach education, fundraising and agency activities. In November 2020, Helen accepted the role of Lead Counselor.
Tina M. Staller, A.S. - Administrative Coordinator
A graduate of Schuylkill Institute of Business and Technology, Tina earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration/Accounting. Tina joined COGI in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant and is currently working as an Administrative Coordinator. In this position Tina does many things some of which include insurance benefit authorizations and billing, data entry / reporting and supplies ordering. In the last five years, Tina has also taken on the role of System Administrator for COGI’s electronic health records system.
